TelphinUSA, Inc. («Telphin») respects the privacy of its clients. Telphin is committed to the protection of the personally identifiable information collected from those clients. This Privacy Policy aims to ensure that the privacy of any personal details collected in the normal course of providing our services is maintained.

The Collection and Use of Customers' Information

  • Types of Information: Telphin might collect what is known as «personally identifiable information». Such information consists of details that can be associated with a specific individual or entity, or permits the individual or entity to be contacted either physically or online. For example, Telphin might collect a customer’s name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • Use of Information: Telphin recognizes the importance of such personal information to its clients. Customers should have a right to control the use and dissemination of that information. Therefore, Telphin only collects Personally Identifiable Information for specific purposes:
    • To ensure that our website is customer friendly, informative and easy to access;
    • To provide and/or change service Customer request to purchase;
    • To bill Customer, run credit checks, or to initiate debt collection;
    • To provide Customer with Customer Service;
    • To anticipate and resolve problems with Customer Telphin service;
    • To create new services that may be of interest to Customer;
    • To protect our customers, employees or property (e.g., to investigate fraud, harassment or other types of illegal activity);
    • To inform Customer of new products, promotions or other marketing initiatives.

    All these aim to enhance Customer experience as a customer or prospective customer.

  • Marketing Activities: For marketing activities, Telphin will typically provide Customer with the choice to opt out. If no opt-out choice is available, please contact Telphin at the address or telephone number listed in the «Contact Us» portion of the web site and a Telphin representative will process Customer request. Once Customers opt-out request has been processed, Telphin will respect Customer requests to be exempt from further direct marketing communications.

Means of Collecting Personally Identifiable Information

  • Direct from Customer: Telphin collects information from customers through various means, such as over the phone, over the Internet (if Customer transact with us on-line), or when Customer completes an application form for one of the products or services that we offer or promote. Telphin also collects personal information directly from clients at the time of application for Telphin Services.
  • Third Parties: Telphin may also collect personal information from third parties such as:
    • credit reporting agencies;
    • suppliers of telecommunication services (e.g., other telecommunications and information service providers);
    • or other entities who supply services to us related to the provision of telecommunication services provided to Customer.

    If Customer does not want Telphin to have Customers personally identifiable information, please do not submit it Telphin. However, we hope Customer understand that this may interfere with Telphin's ability to effectively resolve any customer service related issues Customer may have. Telphin requests for no additional information beyond that which we believe necessary to make Customer experience as a customer a positive one.

Personally Identifiable Information Specific to Internet Services

  • Cookies: Telphin may use what is popularly referred to as a «cookie» or a similar file to store information on the computers of users of Telphin’s internet services, Telphin Services, or for those individuals that access Telphin’s website or web-based tools via the internet. «Cookies» allow Telphin to conduct additional market research into the users of our website and products. «Cookies» are very widely used on websites and are a common method of helping internet companies improve their services. If Customer do not want a «cookie» or similar file stored on Customer computer, Telphin recommends that Customer consult with Customers internet browser instructions or «help» command to erase, block or monitor the cookies attached to Customer hard drive.
  • Website Traffic: From time to time, Telphin collects information about visits to our website, session lengths, bit rates and the number of messages and bytes passed. This internet usage data is not resold, and is only used on an aggregate basis to evaluate the Telphin website. Telphin may also contract with third parties that use Web Beacons on the Telphin website. These Web Beacons are used to track the performance of our marketing efforts with respect to the Telphin services and no personally identifiable information is collected in the process.

    Telphin will not read any client’s outgoing or incoming e-mail, private chat or instant messages. Subject to applicable law, Telphin may store messages for a brief period of time and could be compelled to disclose those messages to comply with applicable law as described in the section titled «Limited Exceptions to Information Sharing».

Information Sharing With Third Parties

Telphin will protect the confidentiality of any personal details collected at all times and any information only be used internally at Telphin, subject to the limited exceptions listed below. Unless a client provides his or her express consent, Telphin will not disclose personally identifiable information to any third party for marketing purposes. When Telphin uses agents, contractors or other third parties to perform services on its behalf, and those third parties have access to Customers Personally Identifiable Information, Telphin will require that those third parties are subject to a confidentiality agreement so that Customer information is protected.

Limited Exceptions to Information Sharing

Certain applicable laws might require Telphin to disclose clients’ personally identifiable information to comply with applicable law. For example, Telphin may be required to disclose certain information under a subpoena, a court order, or as required by a regulatory or administrative agency (e.g., in response to a customer complaint). Additionally, Telphin may disclose this information if we, in good faith, believe that this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against individuals who may be a threat to public safety or interfering with Telphin network, services or our customers. These circumstances are uncommon and clearly defined, and constitute the only situations under which Customer information will be disclosed.

If Telphin decides to stop providing Telphin Service or sell or transfer parts of its business to unaffiliated companies, only that portion of clients’ personally identifiable information that will allow these companies to offer Customer the same or similar services or as to accomplish our business objectives will be provided. Be assured that these unaffiliated companies will be bound by confidentiality requirements that will afford customers’ personal details a level of protection equivalent to that guaranteed by Telphin.

Security Measures

Telphin takes all reasonable steps to ensure that all information collected, used or disclosed is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment accessed only by authorized persons. Telphin also uses Secure Socket Layer («SSL») software to provide secure sessions for our visitors.

Customer Access to Personal Details

Telphin allows all customers to review or update the available personally identifiable information that Telphin received directly from Customer (not from any third parties) by accessing Customer’s account online, or by contacting Telphin at the address or telephone number listed in the «Contact Us» portion of the web site. In order to ensure Customer privacy is maintained, Telphin may ask for information to verify Customer identity prior to granting access to Customer information.

Protection of Children

Telphin does not actively or knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from individuals under 18 years of age. Where appropriate, Telphin will instruct children not to submit such information to our website advertisements without the consent of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian is concerned that a child may have submitted personally identifiable information to Telphin without their consent, that parent or guardian may contact Telphin at the address or telephone number listed in the «Contact Us» portion of the web site and request that this information be removed from our files.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Should material changes to this policy be made, a summary of the changes will be posted on the Telphin website in a clear and conspicuous manner.

Privacy Complaints

Please submit any complaints about breaches of Customer’s privacy in writing by contacting Telphin at the address or fax number listed in the «Contact Us» portion of the web site. Please note that for its customers outside of the USA Telphin will attempt to comply with the applicable local privacy laws, but we are only bound to compliance with the applicable USA privacy laws.
